About Johanne Murphy

The Waterfall Clinic was established 2 years ago by Johanne Murphy and has grown and become an integral part of the community since then.

At The Waterfall Clinic we recognise that it is extremely important to continue rehabilitation in order to avoid deterioration of functions and to aim for the best possible recovery. We support patients throughout the entire recovery process, work with the latest devices and technologies and continuously implement novel treatment options. We only use treatments that are backed by evidence, either from neuroscience, clinical research, or expert opinion and experience.

Johanne is a Dementia Champion and has been actively increasing Dementia awareness within the local community. She provides Dementia awareness training to local companies promoting dementia friendly communities. Johanne was runner up in the DCU Dementia elevator award 2 years ago. She was commended for creating a dementia friendly shopping experience within the Musgraves SuperValu group. Johanne delivered dementia awareness training to staff members in numerous SuperValu supermarkets which were in turn recognized as dementia friendly shopping environments.

Johanne also works closely with Homecare solutions providing mobility and functional assessments for their clients. She also delivers training to their care staff and works closely with them so they can assist clients with home exercise programmes. The Waterfall Clinic won the local and the overall County award for pride of premises in 2019. This was a big achievement for a business that was just established. The Waterfall Clinic is striving to be a Centre of excellence in Neurological rehabilitation in terms of equipment and advancing neurotechnology, more importantly, the Caring, friendly and always professional staff will make the clinic a centre of excellence in the not too distant future.
